It was recently announced that Gioia International is the latest company to earn a gaming license from the Isle of Man. Gioia International will now be able to move their operations to the island. Before they would earned their license Gioia International had to meet the licensing requirements and meet the standards of the Isle of Man.
It took about seven weeks from the time Gioia International sent their application to the Isle of Man for approval. The online poker site from Gioia, RealDealpoker.com will now be able to officially launch. The head of egaming development of the Isle of Man, Garth Kimber commented:
“At the heart of the government’s department for economic development is a commitment to championing new ideas and ground-breaking concepts and ensuring that the island’s business environment is as hospitable as possible to meet the needs of entrepreneurial companies such as Gioia International.”
Lee Hills also commented on the new license approval. Hills is the co-coordinator for ILS egaming. Hills commented that the Gioia International team has proven that there can be ‘scalability in dealing a real deck of cards to online tables’. Hills also commented that innovation, like the RealDealPoker site, are going to be the key to success in the future.
