Jetbull.com, a European online gaming site, recently joined the Cake Network. Jetbull has been undergoing a complete redesign as they have added more game options with their NetEnt casino and Oddsmatrix’ sportsbook. And now the site will be operating on the Cake Network.
The Cake Network powers many online gaming sites and now Jetbull is part of the long list of sites. Other gaming sites powered by Cake are Intertops.com, AdamEvePoker.com and UnabomberPoker.com, among many others.
Andrew Turner the marketing director of the Cake Network commented: “Jetbull is a strong brand that is continually gaining exposure and traction in the European marketplace through aggressive marketing and sponsorships.”
The COO of Jetbull Sandra Barton commented as well stating: “Thanks to our new partnerships Jetbull now has one of the best platforms in Europe. With the Cake Network and our other partners Jetbull will continue to expand across Europe.”

For years online poker sites have been booming with traffic especially since the early 2000’s when Chris Moneymaker won the World Series of Poker. Players saw that qualifying online could result in a major poker win as well as career so everyone seemed to be jumping on the poker bandwagon. But now it seems as though the online poker world has gotten into a rut. Could it be that online poker is becoming a thing of the past?
Many online poker rooms seem to be suffering as their traffic numbers are down. Research and statistics have shown that many of the major poker rooms traffic has been down for a few months now. One would think that currently the numbers would be down because two of the biggest events in sports are taking place: the 2010 WSOP and the World Cup.
Many players will be playing in Vegas as we speak and others are placing sporting bets on the World Cup. So this would explain the downturn right now but what explains the loss in traffic numbers from the previous months?
Such sites as Absolute Poker and Cake Poker are showing significant drops in numbers. According to an article on the ipokerrace website, Absolute Poker has seen a drop of over 1,000 players over the past six months for their average. Cake Poker is down almost half of their average of players.
However the most shocking site to have a downturn is possible Full Tilt Poker. The number two poker room has lost almost 5,000 payers over the past six months. It looks as though the site has lost their players due to new sites that have opened up in the online poker market.
Interestingly enough, PokerStars has still been doing well, holding their own in the industry. The site has continued to stay on track and keep their player numbers. Overall the industry is suffering right now as more and more countries decide to implement UIGEA like bans so players cannot play internationally. And of course with the UIGEA now in effect those in the US are also going to be affected. And there have also been security breaches at online poker rooms such as those on the CEREUS network. All of these reasons could be why the online poker rooms are currently lacking in their player numbers. Hopefully this is just a phase and players will log on to bring the numbers back up for the top online poker rooms.

The Cake Poker Network recently announced they have partnered with CTXM a European based online casino software provider. Last week the two companies cut a deal to market their services together to gaming sites around the world.
Both companies will now be sharing the online poker site PowerPoker and AdamEvePoker as well as the soon to be launched Comeon. Udy Yosha the CEO of CTXM commented: “Since Cake and CTXM operate non-competitive businesses within the online gaming space and have a similar model, joining forces seemed like the perfect evolution of the relationship. Our partnership with Cake perfectly fits with our strategy of providing one-stop-shop solutions to our partners.”
CTXM creates end to end solutions for casinos online which includes a range of table games, video slots, mini games, card games, video poker and back office tools. They use promotions tools and marketing that can be integrated into the casino lobby and games.
Andrew Turner the director of marketing for Cake Poker commented: “Cake is extremely pleased to partner with CTXM due to their long history in online gaming, their top shelf partners, and their high levels of innovation. We are also excited to be launching two new partners to the Cake Network in Comeon and AdamEvePoker, both of which bring strong brands and unique marketing approaches. We look forward to a long and successful partnership.”

Cake Poker is a leading online poker provider in the gambling industry and they recently announced they are testing a new poker client. The new poker client has been anticipated by many in the industry and Cake Poker is currently testing the new client in a private beta.
Lee Jones the Card Room Manager for Cake Poker has worked hard to get the client to the beta stage and he had this to say: “We are excited to launch the private beta for our new Cake Poker client and to get some further feedback on our efforts. We are delighted at how the client is currently operating and looking forward to being able to offer an improved online poker experience to all our players.”
The new poker software will see many changes made to the Cake Poker website. Some of the new features include a new lobby that stretches both vertically and horizontally, a multi-field sorting system that is like Excel as well as an advanced filtering for detailed game/tournament choices.
The new software also provides direct registration for tournaments as well as a tournament lobby that links to satellites. Tables have been scaled down to the industry standard minimum size and the chat box detaches for a player to manage in a separate window. Players can also customize their card backs as well as the table felt and carpet.
To create the new poker client the software developers at Cake consulted with cash and tournament players to try and make the needed and wanted changes. Once the new software has gone through the private beta the software will be ready for launch in a public beta. Once the public beta launches, players will be able to use it in parallel with the existing client for a short period of time. During the testing phase, Cake Poker will still be taking player feedback and integrating it into the new client.
