A lot of poker affiliates don’t cross promote poker games let alone know what cross promoting poker games are. While super poker affiliates are doing this across their poker websites and enjoying the benefits of higher conversion rates from poker strategy websites that are hard to convert and some small/mid level poker affiliates started using the cross promotion for converting rush poker traffic. This method can be applied to all poker games.
What Is Cross Promotion?
Cross promotion is when you have an article about one format of a poker game and in the call to action you promote another format of that poker game or another poker game altogether.
I.e. you have an article about sit and go’s and you add a call to action saying “poker players that enjoy playing sit and go’s also like to play double or nothing sitngos.”
With a link in double or nothing sitngos for internal linking, it not only helps with introducing a new game to a poker player you also have another internal link for SEO benefits.
How To Convert With Cross Promotion?
Now if you want to convert some of the players right from that article and not have them visit another article about a poker game. You have to apply a call to action to sign up to a poker room with the recommendation of the other poker game.
I.e. in the same article about sit and go’s you want to change that call to action to say something like this “poker players that enjoy playing sit and go’s also like to play double or nothing sitngos. The best place to play double or nothing sitngos is at Doyle’s room sign up for 110% match up to $550 deposit bonus and 33% rakeback.”
Now you can link to the other article about double or nothing sitngos giving the visitor another page to visit on your website and stay longer and link to the Doyle’s room sign up page to convert the visitor into a poker player.
Benefits of Cross Promoting Poker Games
Great SEO strategy internal linking the poker game articles and the poker room rakeback offers. The search engines will count more backlinks for your internal pages. This should and will result in moving up in Google and other search engines.
You will convert poker players that want to try a new poker game than the games they normally play and convert the poker players that already knew about the game just didn’t know what poker room to play the game as well as introducing poker players to rakeback that didn’t know about rakeback before visiting your website.
Also, you’re keeping the visitor on your website longer having them visit more pages on your website and give you a better chance of converting your visitors into repeat visitors and poker players. Which in the long term help build your brand trust as more and more poker players see your website, your logo, and become known among other poker players.

In the blink of an eye Full Tilt Poker has gone from being one of the most lucrative rooms for rakeback poker players, to being one of the least!
Full Tilt Poker has announced a change in the way they calculate their rakeback. Previously, Full Tilt Poker used the dealt method of calculation. That means that every player dealt into every hand of poker received a credit for the rake paid during the hand. Spin around those Rush Poker tables for about 8 hours a day, and you’ll realize what a big chunk of change that is.
Full Tilt will now be using not the just the contributed method, which splits credit for rake among players that contributed to the pot (including the big and small blind, anyone that called preflop etc.) but they’ll be taking it a step further!
Full Tilt intends to do an entire 180, and now pay using the weighted-contributed calculation method. That means player will only get credit for what they put into the pot.
If the player folds on the turn, they won’t be seeing credit for action on that street or on the river!
This is going to make a major change to the way your earnings are calculated for Full Tilt Poker players. For instance, all those grinders, multi-tabling tight games all day, their earnings just took a nose dive.
Dealt Rakeback Rooms:
- Cake Poker
- Red Star
- Players Only
- True Poker
- Power Poker
- Doyles Room
- Gutshot Poker
If you’re interested in promoting a new selection of dealt rakeback poker sites via one of the best rakeback programs there is, look up at the nav-bar, and click ‘sign-up’, you’ll be pleasantly surprised!

There’s no word yet as to whether the accounts in question receive rakeback, or whether they took advantage of bonuses, or profited in any other way. What we do know at this point, thanks to a PokerStars player that goes by ‘Malloc’ is that 10 poker accounts at the worlds largest online poker room were involved in a small stakes poker cheating ring.
According to reports the bots often copied each others habits, raising and lowering levels at the same time was one way that they garnered the players suspicions.
PTR put together analytical data on the group, and when they were convinced there was cheating going on, they alerted PokerStars. PokerStars froze the accounts in question immediately, and began an investigation which again proved that the bots were indeed, bots.
One of the characteristics that the bots shared that helped prove the cheating was their pre-flop play whenever they were in the big blind and the pot had not been raised.
When the bots held playable cards they shoved all in. Whey the did not hold playable cards, they gave no action after the flop.
This created a 100% fold statistic post flop in the big blind. Because the bots either raised all in before the flop, or mucked just after.
Even if the bots weren’t tagged to a rakeback affiliate and receiving rake payments at Full Tilt Poker, they cleared $58,000.00 in profits according to PokerStars data. The monies available in their accounts has been seized and there is talk of returning whatever is left to return to cheated players.

Rakeback is very important to poker players as it is a way to get money back for playing online poker. For those that do not know a Rakeback is when a poker room will give players a percentage of the rake back to the player for playing. One online poker site has recently increased their Rakeback offering to entice players to visit their site more.
RaiseandFold Poker has announced they are offering a 40% Rakeback for their players. This means that those who play regularly at the online poker site will be able to earn a nice amount of cash back. Since the Rakeback is 40%, players would get a larger amount back than other poker rooms. For example, those who accumulate $100 in rake would earn $40 back.
Players will get their Rakeback at the end of the week, so it won’t be long before players see a return for their game play. Part of the Everleaf network, RaiseandFold decided to increase the Rakeback to get players to play at their site as well as help out in tough economic times.
A spokesman for RaiseandFold commented: “The rake back tabularizes the total amount of rake that was provided by the gambler (as well as tourneys fees). 40% of that amount is re-deposited to the gambler’s account. The current economic environment affects everybody, including poker players. This new rake back plan provides players the chance to play more and the opportunity to win more

Rakeback is very important to many poker players as it is a way to get money back while playing poker. Usually the largest amount of rakeback a player will see from an online poker room is 30%, which is a nice rate. However one poker room has decided to increase their rakeback while the 2010 World Series of Poker is taking place.
Betfair Poker an online poker room based in Europe has stated they are going to increase their rakeback percentage to 40% while the 2010 WSOP is running. Members of the site recently received an email which stated: “We are pleased to announce our fantastic 40% Rakeback promotion to go with our other great Poker World Cup 2010 Promotions!”
So even if you are not a member of Betfair Poker, if you sign up in June you will still be able to take advantage of the increase rakeback offering. The rakeback will be paid in a bi-monthly basis which will be the first and third Thursdays of the month.
Betfair already offers 30% rakeback so players will be earning an additional 10% while the promotion is running. The site is also running a Points Chase race worth $125,000 which will see participants receive a $50 or $100 bonus. The race is taking place from June 11th to July 11th.

Previously, poker affiliates whose websites included the word ‘rake’ in their url were not able to promote OnGame products. This has however recently changed.
As a result of this change, rakeback affiliates are now able to offer OnGame products on websites that include the word rake in their domain names. This means a few things. Ongame will obviously be more available to many many rakeback affiliates, increasing revenue opportunities for some.
It also means that affiliates that previously catered to OnGame’s requirement of not having the word rake in domain names will soon have a lot more competition, and probably fewer conversions as the bigger rakeback sites get these properties listed. Be on the lookout for new Bet Safe and EuroBet banners on websites that publicly offer rakeback.
If you’re one of the websites that didn’t advertise rake because of these requirements, consider announcing this change with a bang to help your website stay competetive in this area.
Announce your websites ability to offer rakeback at EuroBet and Bet Safe via press release. Mention the change in social networking sites like Twitter, with a link back to your article related to the subject. Get the word out that your site is now, and has always been the place to go for OnGame rakeback. You might even focus on the fact that your site has always expeirence in dealing with these companies, due to the exclusive relationship built long ago.
Rakeback websites on the other hand might want to press release the brand newness of it all. Add new reviews, and content sections involving the OnGame properties. Create copy describing ways to best utilize the new rakeback deals available on your websites. Another article could be written and promoted outlining the benefits of rakeback versus bonuses at OnGame sites
Feel free to leave your comments below, let us know how this change affected you, if at all, and what you’re doing differently to promote OnGame properties.
